Mayor and Council Members

Suisun City operates under the Council/Manager form of governance in which the electorate chooses members of the City Council and the City Council hires the City Manager to implement City Council policy and run day-to-day affairs.

The Mayor and City Council are elected independently in non-partisan elections to serve four-year terms in office. The Mayor Pro-Tem is selected by the City Council from among its members. Suisun City has no term limits.

Statements of Economic Interest

The Mayor, City Council members and City Treasurer are elected officers identified in Government Code Section 87200 and file statements of economic interests with the City Clerk’s office. Copies of the statements of economic interests filed by the above elected officers may be obtained by visiting the offices of the

Meeting Information

The City Council holds regular meetings on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month in the City Council Chamber in City Hall. If necessary for conduct City business, a regular meeting may be scheduled for any Tuesday.

Additional Information

The City Council also sits as the governing board for the Housing Authority and as the Successor Agency to the Redevelopment Agency. The Oversight Board is an independent review board reviewing Successor Agency actions.

The City Council appoints members to the Planning Commission, the Parks and Recreation Commission, and the General Tax Oversight Committee (Measure S Oversight Committee).

The City Clerk and City Treasurer are elected independently to four-year terms.
