Suisun City is thrilled to introduce a Police Activities League (PAL) Program exclusively designed for its dynamic residents.  The program is funded through the Proposition 64 Public Health and Safety Grant Program.  Geared towards middle and high school aged youth, this exceptional program aims to foster a strong bond between law enforcement and the community by offering a diverse range of educational, athletic, and life-enriching activities. Through these programs, we strive to instill essential values like discipline, positive self-image, mutual trust, and respect in our youth.

Our primary objective is to provide enriching experiences, such as life after high school and teen leadership initiatives, ensuring the participants are well-prepared for their future endeavors. Simultaneously, we believe in embracing innovation and fun, and thus we offer exciting programs like coding with robots and engaging in gardening activities.

We envision a thriving community where the PAL Program becomes a catalyst for positive transformation in the lives of our young residents, empowering them to reach their full potential while forging lasting connections between law enforcement and the broader community. Together, we can create a brighter and more promising future for all.

Programs

Field Trips

Monthly Field Trips - The first Friday of each month, PAL takes a trip to the movie theater to see a movie. We provide a snack box for the youth. This is an incentive trip and you need to participate in at least one program or attend open hours the month prior to be able to go to the movies.

Dave and Busters - Twice a year we take the kids to Dave and Buster for a fun time. We cover meals and a $10 play pass. This is also an incentive trip and you need to participate in 30 hours of programs and/or open space to be able to attend.

Cannabis Education

Cannabis education for youth is of utmost importance in today's changing landscape of cannabis legalization and use. Equipping young individuals with comprehensive and evidence-based information is crucial to help them navigate the complexities surrounding cannabis. By providing a clear understanding of how cannabis can affect developing brains and bodies, we empower them to make responsible choices and protect their health.

Open and honest discussions about cannabis's potential risks, including the impact on mental health and academic performance, foster a culture of informed decision-making. Additionally, educating youth about the legal implications of cannabis use ensures they are aware of the laws and regulations governing its use in their respective regions. By promoting an environment of knowledge and awareness, we strive to cultivate a generation that approaches cannabis with maturity, responsibility, and a commitment to their well-being.
