Preschool Program

The Suisun City Preschool program at the Joseph Nelson Community Center is back!  Preschool classes are dedicated to helping children enjoy the discovery of play, learning and social interaction in a safe and positive environment.

The Discovery Preschool program provides children ages 2.5 - 3 years old with learning opportunities through opportunities through art and play. Our daily schedule allows for individual and group activities that allows children the opportunities to expand their knowledge while exploring the world around them. Our classroom is designed to offer a range of developmentally appropriate activities where children can explore science, art, reading, dramatic play, tactile play, music, and more.  If child is not potty-trained, parent must be available for potential diaper change.

The Pre-Kindergarten program is designed to help prepare children ages 3-5 years old for their transitional kindergarten or kindergarten experience. We offer a range of developmentally appropriate activities to promote individual growth and development. Children will have the opportunity to build on the necessary skills needed for kindergarten and beyond. Must be potty-trained.

First 5 Solano Funded Early Childhood Recreation Classes 

Thanks to funding from First 5 Solano, Suisun City Recreation is offering free recreation classes for Solano County residents ages 2-4.  The program will offer 45 minute age appropriate classes from three local instructors – Air Blair Athletics for sports, Motion Dynamics for dance, and CARE4EM for yoga and drumming classes.  All classes will take place at the Joseph Nelson Community Center – 611 Village Drive, Suisun City.
