The Suisun City Recreation, Parks, and Marina Department is happy to offer senior programs at the Joseph Nelson Community Center. Join us for social activities, crafts, fitness, and more.

Solano Connected Free Tablet Training
Solano Connected is offering free technology training to help older adults and adults with disabilities learn how to use the internet with a tablet. Training is available in-person at a local library or community center, or virtually from home in your preferred language. Eligible participants include Solano County residents age 60+ or adults with disabilities age 18+ who do not already have a digital device, except a cell phone. UC Davis Arboretum Public Garden Trips
Join us for a scenic trip to the UC Davis Arboretum Public Gardens on April 10, 17, and 24 from 9:00am-12:30pm. Transportation is provided, and participants should meet at the Joseph Nelson Community Center at 8:45am. This trip includes approximately 1.5 miles of walking, so comfortable shoes are recommended. All trips are currently full, but waitlist requests can be made by calling 707-421-7200 or visiting the front desk.
Senior Spring Dinner Dance
Join us for a fun evening of dinner, music, and dancing at the Senior Spring Dinner Dance on April 30 from 5:00pm-8:00pm at the Joseph Nelson Community Center. Admission is free, but reservations are required by April 27. We encourage guests to dress in their best florals. For more information, call 707-421-7200 or email jsingley@suisun.com.
Senior Lounge
Drink coffee, read a book, or chat with friends at the lounge every weekday from 9:00am-3:00pm.
Lunch Buddies Bistro (60+)
Lunch for ages 60+ is served Monday–Friday at 11:30am at the Joseph Nelson Community Center. Innovative Health Solutions presents Lunch Buddies Bistro, a congregate meals program featuring nutritious menus, friendly conversation, and social connection. Lunch is free for individuals age 60 and older, voluntary contributions are accepted but not required, and reservations should be made at least two days in advance by calling 707-684-4376.
