Prosperity Garden Park will be located on a City owned 1.9 acre lot west of Blossom Ave along the canal of Laurel Creek. Project will consist of a community garden along with a mini-park with recreation features at its entryway. Features include a secure perimeter, a vegetative screen to protect adjacent homes, restrooms, storage area, & rentable plots and raised beds.

Budget

Total Project Cost = $2,040,000

  • American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Funding  - $375,000
  • CA Department of Parks and Recreation ‘Specified Grant’ Funding - $780,000
  • Suisun City Park Development Funds - $885,000
Update –5/28/26

Prosperity Garden officially opened on April 29, and the site recently hosted a successful two-part Resilient Garden Installation Workshop in partnership with Sustainable Solano. The workshop helped establish a waterwise demonstration garden focused on healthy soil, pollinator plants, rainwater harvesting, drip irrigation, and habitat creation that supports both people and the environment.

Work is also underway to install a drinking fountain at the garden, along with an extension of the chain link fence to close off access to the canal. These improvements continue to enhance the long-term functionality, safety, and community value of the site.

Garden plots are available for rent at suisun.recdesk.com and residents interested in additional information may contact Justeen Singley, Recreation Coordinator, at jsingley@suisun.com
