The Suisun City Planning Commission is appointed by the Mayor with the consent of the City Council. The Planning Commission was created in 1955.

Duties and Responsibilities
The powers of the Planning Commission are described in Title 7 of the Government Code of California and other applicable state laws. Generally, the commission is a quasi-judicial body empowered with enforcing and ensuring compliance with various state and local planning documents, rules and regulations, including the City General Plan and Zoning Ordinances.
Planning Commission decisions may be appealed to the City Council.
