Fruit Tree Planting Foundation (FTPF) & Suisun City Recreation, Parks, and Marina (RPM) Department invite the community for a special event as part of an ambitious statewide effort to plant life-sustaining orchards and distribute hundreds of fruit trees across California. In partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation and UPS, FTPF will host a tree planting at Prosperity Garden Park on Thursday, May 29 at 9:00am, bringing a long-term source of free, fresh fruit and environmental benefits to local residents.

In addition to planting an orchard at the park, a limited amount of fruit trees will be distributed directly to area residents, along with planting instructions and arboricultural training. Community members will be empowered to plant and care for their own trees at home, promoting improved nutrition, cleaner air, and greener neighborhoods citywide. For those unable to attend the tree planting at 9:00am on May 29, there will be a second tree giveaway at 5:00pm for any remaining fruit trees, along with an arboricultural training from FTPF.

Community members are invited to join the planting festivities at Prosperity Garden Park on May 29 at 9:00am and help grow a greener, more fruitful future.  Prosperity Garden Park is located on Blossom Avenue in Suisun City, directly across from the McCoy Creek Trail entrance.  No pre-registration is required, participant will be required to sign volunteer forms on site and a tree distribution form if choosing to take a fruit tree home.
