Solano Street Storm Drain Project NTC

The City of Suisun City Department of Building and Public Works has issued a Notice to Contractors inviting qualified contractors to provide proposals for the Solano Street Storm Drain Improvements Project.

The work to be done, in general, consists of supplying all labor, materials, tools, equipment, implements and methods of process to complete the following work:

  • Removing a section of existing 12″ storm drain pipe
  • Abandoning an existing 12″ storm drain pipe in place and capping the ends
  • Removing and replacing concrete sidewalk
  • Installing new 12″ RCP storm drain pipe and manholes
  • Replacing¬† pedestrian curb ramp
  • Providing erosion control
  • Traffic Control

For bonding purposes, the Engineer’s Estimate for this project is $230,000.

No pre-bid meeting is scheduled for this project.

Contractors shall sealed proposals to the City Clerk of the City of Suisun City, 701 Civic Center Blvd., Suisun City, CA, 94585 no later than 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 27, 2017. (Dated corrected in Addendum #1 linked below.)

This project has an accelerated timeline for the Contractor to perform this contract work. The sequence is as follows:

  • The construction contract is anticipated to be brought to the City Council on October 3, 2017 to authorize our City Manager to enter into a construction contract with the Contractor.
  • The Notice of Award is anticipated to be overnighted to the Contractor on October 4, 2017.
  • Contractor will have 7-calendar days to return the signed Contract with required Bonds and Insurance documents to the City.
  • The pre-construction meeting is anticipated to be held on October 10, 2017 at City Hall, and at that time the Notice to Proceed will be issued to the Contractor.
  • From the issuance of the Notice to Proceed the Contractor shall have 30 working days to complete the project, weather permitting.
