2019 Community Drop-Off Day Schedule

Community Drop-off Day-120The 2019 schedule of Community Drop-Off Days has been finalized.

  • Event Dates:
    • April 13th
    • June 8th
    • August 10th
    • October 12th
  • Event Hours: 8am to Noon
  • Event Location: Lot behind the Post Office

City residents that pay for refuse garbage services through Solano Garbage may bring one load of accumulated waste items, up to four (4) cubic yards, to the Drop-Off Day at no charge.  Suisun City residents must bring proof of residency (driver’s license and a utility bill (garbage, water, cable, cell phone, phone, PG&E)  Solano Garbage bill). Box-style vans over 12-feet or trailers in excess of 4 cubic yards will not be accepted.

Access to the event will be closed at Noon. Vehicles in line in the driveway between the Sunset Shopping Center and the Post Office off Merganser Drive by Noon will be allowed to deliver their load.

Small and/or loose items MUST be bundled or bagged to be dropped off.  This speeds up the line and reduces overall wait times.

The event accepts the following items for disposal:

  • Green waste, wood and tree branches
  • Sofas, mattresses & bed springs
  • Trash
  • Paper and cardboard
  • Clothing

Unacceptable Items – No tires or any hazardous waste (e.g. paint, batteries, oil, antifreeze, etc.) will be accepted during Drop-Off Days. Residents with valid Republic Services accounts are encouraged to contact Republic Services to arrange free curbside pickup of used oil or to schedule an appointment to drop off other household hazardous waste items free of charge. Note appliances may be disposed of for free at Solano Garbage offices per the dates shown below.

Scroll down for information below on disposal of e-waste, household hazardous waste, and appliances.

Donations of reusable items also can be made on-site to local non-profit organizations that partner with Republic Services.

Solano Garbage has added a free Appliance Drop-Off Program available at it’s office. See below for more details.
