Senior Health Clinic
There will be hosting a free health clinic at the Joseph Nelson Community Center on Tuesday 4/9 from 10am-12pm at the Joseph Nelson Community Center. This is a great opportunity to receive free health services, including health screenings, vaccinations, and mental health resources. Click here(PDF, 768KB) for the event flier.
Financial Freedom Seminar
Local real estate/mortgage professionals Brianna Roemmick and Kai Williams will be giving a free seminar on "Financial Freedom," including information on reverse mortgages, HELOC, and relocation. This will be held on Thursday 4/18 from 12:30-1:30pm at the Joseph Nelson Center.
Vallejo Naval & Historical Museum Trip
On Thursday 4/25, there will be an organized trip to the Vallejo Naval & Historical Museum. Pre-registration is required, and the cost is $5. On the day of the trip, meet at the Joseph Nelson Community Center. This will be a fun and education outing where you can learn about the history of Vallejo and its connection to the US Navy at Mare Island. Click here(PDF, 2MB) for the program flier.
"Listening Session" for the Solano Master Plan for Aging
On Tues 5/14 at 10:30am, the Joseph Nelson Center will host a "listening session" for the Solano Master Plan for Aging. This session is designed to receive input from older adults, those living with disabilities, caregivers, LQBTQ+ individuals, and community leaders as Solano County shapes its "Master Plan for Aging." Preventing Medicare Fraud Seminar

Senior Lounge
Drink coffee, read a book, or chat with friends at the lounge every weekday from 9:00am-3:00pm.
Lunch (Ages 60+)
Meals on Wheels Solano County serves lunch at the Joseph Nelson Community Center every weekday at 11:30am. Reservations must be made 48 hours in advance. Please call Meals on Wheels to make your reservation at 707-425-0638 x2. There is a suggested contribution of $4 per meal for guests over 60 and $7 per meal for guests under 60. If you are unable to contribute the full amount, please consider contributing what you can. No one will be denied a meal due to inability to pay. Every donation helps Meals on Wheels continue to serve the community.
