SUISUN CITY - The Suisun City Fire Department is seeking proposals from qualified consultants to develop a Multi-Jurisdictional Local Hazard Mitigation Plan that meets all California and Federal requirements.

The purpose of the plan is to demonstrate the City's commitment to reducing risks from natural hazards, and to provide guidance to community leaders commiting related resources. Local plans also serve as the basis for California to provide technical assistance and to prioritize project funding.

The City of Suisun City and the Suisun Fire Protection District are working together to create a multi-jurisdicational plan to both better coordinate public safety services and to ensure that the City and the District continue to keep residents safe and remain eligible for future hazard mitigation funding.

Responses for this project are due April 21.
