First-time Homebuyer Program

**Important Program Update**

The Suisun City Redevelopment Agency is proud to offer its First-time Homebuyer Program to help bolster the quality of the City's neighborhoods while providing affordable home-ownership opportunities for those entering the real estate market for the first time.

The Redevelopment Agency decided to pursue this program to

• Help return foreclosed single family homes to owner-occupied use;
• Fight blight before it can become entrenched due to foreclosure-related vacancies; and
• Provide an affordable way for first-time buyers to become homeowners.

PROGRAM BASICS

• Loans are available for the purchase of any foreclosed, bank-owned or short-sale residential property within the Redevelopment Area, which includes all Suisun City neighborhoods, except Peterson Ranch.
• Down payment assistance of up to 25% of the home's purchase price (including closing costs) for any foreclosed, bank-owned or short sale residential property.
• The Redevelopment Agency has a list of homes recently renovated by a private contractor that are eligible for downpayment assistance of up to 35% of the home's purchase price (including closing costs)
• 3% min. homebuyer down payment required.

NEIGHBORHOOD REINVESTMENT PROGRAM

Homebuyers who qualify for the First-Time Homebuyer Program also qualify for the Neighborhood Reinvestment Program, which provides matching grants for a wide range of curb appeal upgrades.
