SUISUN CITY - Walmart won approval on March 14 from a regional water board for environmental steps that help clear the way for a proposed Suisun City store. The City Council approved plans for the store in 2008.

The environmental documentation and other studies done to evaluate the Wal-Mart Walters Road West Project were challenged in a lawsuit brought against the City.
On August 20, 2010, the First District Court of Appeal upheld the project approvals issued by the Suisun City Council in 2008. The Court's ruling was not appealed.
