ABOUT THE PROJECT

The Chyrl Way Rehabilitation Project includes

• Replacing water service lines
• Replacing sanitary sewer main pipeline as well as reconnecting sanitary sewer laterals
• Replacing curbs, gutters and curb ramps
• Rehabilitating the pavement on Chyrl Way from Blossom Avenue to Humphrey Drive

Because the work includes trenching for utilities and full replacement of the roadway, access to the street for both residents and non-residents will be significantly impaired.

The $855,000 project, being managed by Suisun City Public Works, is paid for by Suisun-Solano Water Authority and Fairfield Suisun Sewer District funds. Suisun City is a partner/member of both joint powers authorities.

The project is being constructed by Ghilotti Construction Company of Santa Rosa.

SCHEDULE UPDATES

Ghilotti Construction Company plans to install the final asphalt street surface on Wednesday, Dec. 14, a day later than first planned due to weather conditions. This work represents the final major roadway work on the Chyrl Way project.

After the paving work is complete, Public Works officials will work with Ghilotti Construction on restoring landscaping disturbed during construction. Final striping will be scheduled when weather conditions are appropriate.

Construction is expected to be completed in mid-December, depending upon weather conditions. During the entire construction period, Ghilotti Construction is required to maintain message boards near the construction zone and driveway access outside of work hours.

Work hours are generally 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Work hours or times may be extended for construction conflicts or emergencies.
